Samael A. Tejada is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of MyMitochondria, the evidence-first news publication covering mitochondrial health — the research, treatments, testing and people shaping how the science of the cell’s energy producers reaches patients. He sets the publication’s editorial direction: every story graded on the strength of its evidence, every claim traceable to its source.
He is the founder of Liquivida, the wellness and medical spa company he has built and led since 2014, and serves as Chairman of the Leadership Advisory Board of the American IV Association, the industry association for IV therapy providers. Through Liquivida’s pharmacy vertical, his work reaches thousands of physicians nationwide.
Sammy hosts A Healthy Point of View, a podcast on health, longevity and the business of wellness, and is the author of How To Win In Modern Wellness: Delivering Trackable Results for Impatient Consumers. Before founding Liquivida, he served as a firefighter and paramedic with the City of Oakland Park from 2007 to 2019.
As Editor-in-Chief he works with MyMitochondria’s medical review panel — the clinicians who medically review the site’s coverage — to keep the reporting accurate, sourced and free of hype.
