Eos SENOLYTIX to present mitochondria-targeted geropeptide at Berlin mitochondria congress
A Houston biotech is taking its mitochondria-targeted anti-aging drug to the biggest stage in the field. Eos SENOLYTIX announced September 22 that founder and CEO Dr. Kevin Slawin will deliver the industry keynote at the 17th World Congress on Targeting Mitochondria in Berlin (October 21–23) — following the academic keynote by Dr. Hazel Szeto, the discoverer of SS-31/elamipretide — with a joint panel on the path from mitochondrial discovery to approved therapy.
The drug
The lead candidate, PTC-2105, is a proprietary geropeptide designed to modulate mitochondrial function and selectively clear senescent cells — the worn-out cells that accumulate with age. Initial targets: sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity. The company also expects to close its merger with Pulmatrix, Inc. in Q4 2026.
